Measurement Based Care

at LCMH

Lanark County Mental Health is committed to providing effective and evidence-based care to its clients. One key aspect of our approach is the the use of a measurement-based care framework (MBC).

MBC uses regular mental health assessments to check in and keep track of how you’re doing throughout care. It allows you and your therapist to better understand your mental health so together you can adjust your care plan and make treatment decisions based on your needs. MBC keeps your voice and goals at the centre of care, and empowers you to be an active partner throughout your treatment process.

The Greenspace self-assessment tool is an integral part of MBC at LCMH, by allowing clients to actively participate in evaluating their own mental health and well-being. By clicking on the provided link, individuals can complete a comprehensive self-assessment that covers many aspects of mental health. The data gathered from these assessments not only informs our clinicians about clients' current states but also helps our team tailor interventions to address specific needs. This proactive and collaborative approach aligns with our commitment to providing personalized and effective mental health care in Lanark County. Learn more about measurement based care here.

There are so many benefits to completing regular assessments throughout treatment:

Recognize symptom changes - Regular assessments will help you uncover patterns in your symptoms and understand what might contribute to changes in your mood.

Transparency into your progress - These assessments help your therapist provide more feedback and information about your progress in therapy, which helps in your shared treatment decision-making, and leads to earlier detection of improvement, regression, or new challenges

  • Why is having this data important?

Just as monitoring tools are crucial in physical healthcare, they are equally important in mental health care. Consider managing diabetes without a glucose meter; it would be challenging for both the doctor and the patient. Incorporating data into mental health treatment serves a similar purpose, allowing better communication of symptoms, understanding progress and gaining insights for a more effective and personalized approach to feeling better.

  • Is my information secure?

Greenspace prioritizes the security and privacy of patient information, exceeding industry standards. Greenspace is SOC 2 Type II compliant, adhere to strict security protocols, and store all data in Canada. Some of the measures included are: SSL-secured access, AES encryption, firewalls, and additional precautions like strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

  • Can I have my information?

Certainly, you can access your information through the provided link. We encourage this practice as it facilitates self-awareness, recognition of symptom changes, collaboration in your care and finding solace when needed.
