Welcome to Lanark County Mental Health

Lanark County Mental Health is a community based mental health service responding to Lanark County adults and transitional aged youth (17 yrs and over) who experience mental health concerns. The Program is sponsored by the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital and supported by an active Community Advisory Board.

Our Services


Single-session counseling services are available to individuals, couples, and families without an appointment during walk-in hours.


Offering support to individuals and their families who are experiencing acute emotional distress through assessment, stabilization, brief counselling and linkages to community resources. Access to mental health crisis services is available by calling 613-283-2170.


Offering Counselling and Treatment services, Sexual Abuse Counselling as well as a Domestic Violence Program.

Case Management Services

Offering the following support services: Case Management, Social Recreation, Court Diversion/Support Services, Hoarding Program, as well as Family and Caregiver Supports.


Offering General Psychiatry to provide assessment, consultation and short-term follow up within a shared care model for adults experiencing serious mental illness.

Also offering Geriatric Psychiatry to provide assessment, consultation and short-term follow up, in collaboration with primary care physicians, for senior adults age 65 years and over experiencing dementia related concerns and/or serious mental illness.


Offering Group Therapy including: You’re Braver Than You Think, ReThink Depression, Healthy Attachments, Life Beyond Trauma, Managing Powerful Emotions, Social Recreation, as well as Youth Skills & Support (Ages 17-24).
